Accessories & Hip Scarves

I will list below some of the websites I've found during my time of searching, to maybe point you in the right direction, but if you find any others please let me know and I'll add them to the list!

www.ebay.co.uk is always a great source for belly dance items, if you just type 'belly dance' into the search facility you'll see what I mean! Be careful of postage costs though if they are from Egypt or India.

www.kookiekaftan1.netfirms.com if you click on the bazaar section of this website, they sell mostly tribal wear, but are the cheapest I've found for buying coins to decorate your own clothing & cowrie shells.

www.moondancebellydance.com an American site with a huge range of clothing, quite reasonably priced, although I've not purchased anything yet.

www.aladdinscave.com and www.bellybazaar.co.uk are both UK sites selling a huge variety of belly dance items, and at belly bazaar you can order over the phone.  Aladdins Cave sell some really comfy clothing to dance in, such as trousers with logos or sparkles for that added bit of bling!

www.bestuwant.com This website was found by one of my ladies at class, and the hip scarves they sell are really nice, and a bit unusual, as some have bells instead of the traditional coins, and others have a butterfly design on the scarf. I think a hip scarf with bells, including postage was about £7. Check out the  jewellery section too, for tribal-style bangles.

Useful Links to other websites...

I often get phone calls regarding classes and sometimes my days or times aren't suitable for some, or it could be that people aren't local to Redditch, but are unaware of classes in their area.  So here are a few local teacher's websites and contact details.

www.bellydance-southam.co.uk This link will take you to Dodo's website, who teaches in Leomington/Coventry & Southam

For classes in Bromsgrove & Droitwich, email Tracy: tahirah-dance@hotmail.co.uk

For a really long list of UK teachers, visit www.bellydancer.org.uk and you can scroll down a geographical list and find out the styles of dance, years experience the teacher's have, and the location of their classes

For a general website of everything you can think of- costuming, music, history of belly dance, pictures, explanations of movements, visit www.shira.net it's a fab website which you can spend ages reading through!
